It occurs as a consequence of inefficient emptying. It may be due to: - External clothing pressure - Single-breast feeding - Poor sleeping position - Skipping or delaying feedings - Weaning process.
It can lead to mastitis. What should be done is: - Continue breastfeeding frequently. - Massage before use. - Change of position (baby's chin east to the affected area) - Avoid tight clothing - Probiotics and soy lecithin. - Apply cold cloths.
Remember to always consult someone trained in breastfeeding when you have any of these symptoms!!!!
